The Jamaat's Naib Amir in district Swat comes from Shakar Darra village in Matta subdivision and holds a graduate degree in education from Peshawar University. Besides being the principal of his own public school, Subhan is also a Maulvi Fazil and teaches the Quran in his village mosque. Not a high profile figure, he entered the electoral race only because his party asked him to contest.
