In South Waziristan the second largest tribe is Makhsood. In fact Makhsood & Wazir is the grand sons of the same person. Atman Zai, Ahmad Zai & Makhsood all three tribes are Saka brothers. As mentioned above Wazir was he son of Suleiman. Wazir had two son; one was Lale & the other was Khadre. Khadre had three sons; Moosa famous as Darvesh, Mahmood & Mubarak. Mahmood had a son his race is called Makhsood, Mashood & Massed. Makhsood had two son; one was Ali; his dynasty is known as Al Zai & the other was Bahlool; his dynasty is known as Bahlol Zai. Ali had two sons one was Fattah; his race is called now Fatah Khel & the other was Shaman; his family is known as Shaman khel. Bahlol Zai is divided in four sub tribes; first is Amal Khel second is Band Khel third is Nano Khel & the last one is Shangi Khel. These tribes further divided in sub tribes. According to MAZDARE MASEED (a tribal race system) Maseed (Makhsood) are divide into three main tribes; Ali Zai, Bahlool Zai, & Shaman khel. As Maseed’s grand father Khadre was the son of Wazir so due to this reason Makhsood also known as Maksood-Wazir. But Massed is considered as a separate tribe now. Most of the Massed tribes are living in the Laman of 11,5oo feet high mountains of Preghal. Makin & Kani Gurram is its famous villages.. These two villages are located in the center of South Waziristan. In the east of these two villages Districts of Bannu & D.I Khan are located. While on the other three side of them Shaman khel Wazir are located.

Just like Waszir Massed also have a Ziarat Gah; which is the memorial of Mubarak (Borak Nekah) located at 8149 feet Kandi Mountain.
